Emily Buchholz has staffed our Uptown location since it opened in October 2013. Here, she shares some information about herself and answers a few of the big “W”s about Davis Law Office’s Uptown space.

WHERE?
CoCo Uptown is a really unique space. We have a garage, a theater and a taproom! The floors and exposed columns are concrete, but the space is cozy, thanks to the custom wood furniture, brightly colored rugs, and pretty glass lights. We’re located on the corner of Lake and Dupont underneath the CVS Pharmacy, which is really convenient. Plus, we have lots of dogs here, which I love.
This handsome devil is my dog, Walter.
These two cuties are Davis’ dogs, Lola and Olivia.
WHO?
In our campsite, we share space with some phenomenal professionals, who have become good friends. We can’t recommend these guys highly enough. Check them out for yourselves!

WHAT AND WHY?
Although I come from a litigation background, I now handle mostly transactional work. I advise small and solo businesses regarding a variety of legal issues including entity formation, contract review and drafting, employment issues, intellectual property protection, business restructure, and more. I think of us as on-call, general counsel for companies who are too small to staff an attorney in-house.
I also handle transactional personal matters for our clients. This includes consulting with clients about various family law-related matters like marriage and divorce, drafting pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and working with clients on their estate planning needs.
I love what I do! Our clients are the best. They do interesting, creative work. They are good people. And I feel good knowing that our team adds value and provides them with real support. It’s important to have a trusted advisor on your team to make sure that your legal needs are addressed in the context of your overall personal and business goals.
